The BlackBerry Priv was announced on the 25th of September, 2015 by the BlackBerry CEO John Chen. And was officially released on the 6th of November, 2015.

The BlackBerry Priv is a slider smartphone and also the first ever BlackBerry smartphone that runs the Android Operating System (OS). It can run Google Play store softwares.
The phone was actually developed by BlackBerry Limited.
